Australian Authors Study Unit
In this unit of work you will choose an Australian author to study.
You are asked to:
Present your information in a clear and visually stimulating way
Provide information that is accurate
Avoid copying and pasting information from webpages or books
Make sure that your assignment is written in your own words
Avoid using images, clipart and sounds that may be copyrighted
Provide a "Bibliography"

While the World Wide Web can be quick and easy, remember some pages on the "Net" may provide information that is not always accurate!
Your task
Using the e-library catalogue choose a favourite Australian author.
Select a book for borrowing your author has written and start to read.
You will be asked to read this book in every library lesson for about 15-20 mins.
Find out as much information as you can by researching on the internet (an Australian authors and Illustrators has been created for this task) and in the Reference books provided: Meet Australia's children's authors and illustrators..

Write a Book Review
In your book review write the following information:
Book title.
Name of the books publisher and when the book was last published?
Name the main characters in the book.
Write a short blurb about your book.
Write about something in the book that was happy/funny/sad/interesting.
Would you recommend this book to a friend to read?
How you would rate this book on a scale of 1-10?
Presentations styles for your assignment:
When you have gathered all your information you're ready to create your presentation. You can choose one of the following ways to present your information:
Brochure, PowerPoint or Moviemaker.

Don't forget to include photos and or pictures that are not copyrighted.
